1 Assignment Outline
You are required to create a simple web page in HTML using Notepad which is linked to a CSS stylesheet to complete the following tasks.

You must first create a HTML web page using Notepad that meets the following requirements:

1 Assignment Outline
You are required to create a simple web page in HTML using Notepad which is linked to a CSS stylesheet to complete the following tasks.
2 Requirements/Tasks
You must first create a HTML web page using Notepad that meets the following requirements:
HTML Webpage
- Your name and class should be in the title on the top left of the webpage.
- Use an appropriate header elements to place your name+surname, class and the words "web authoring - Assignment 30%" at the top of the page.
- Use a table to place a photo of yourself with brief description text wrapping around the image formatted appropriately
- Create an ordered list (numbered) to contain the solutions to tasks 1,2 and 3 below:
Task 1 Explain the meaning of the symbols behind the following codes: © ® ™ & €
Task 2 Explain the purpose and use of the following tags: <!DOCTYPE>,<UL>,<DD>,<DT> ,<DL>,<Q>,<BLOCKQUOTE>, <STRONG>, <EM> and <ABBR> (Use the codes > and < to get the above tags to display in your web page.) Task 3 Explain the use of class and id selectors in CSS in your web page |
- Use the <META> tag to add keywords describing your simple web page.
- Use the <FORM>, <INPUT> and <TEXTAREA> tags to create a 'comments' section on your web page.
- Create a link to an external game or multimedia website of your choice with link text using the <A> tag. Add a brief description regarding the game/multimedia the website is promoting.
Application of CSS
- Create a new css file called FirstnameSurname.css (your first name and your surname) and use the <LINK> tag to link it to this simple web page.
- Edit your stylesheet to achieve the following:

Submission of Assignment
When you are finished upload your folder (with your html, css and other files) to DLO 20/21 - Web Authoring channel for DLO students and to DMC 2021 - Web Authoring channel for DMC students on MS Teams. Select the 'Files' tab in the Web Authoring channel and then click on the 'Assignment' folder. Select the folder therein with your name and upload your folder with your files in it and then your submission will be complete.
